GALLERY: Bad Suns at Emo’s Austin

Staple indie rock band Bad Suns lit up a sweltering September night in Austin with the ‘Accelerator Tour,’ or as frontman Christo Bowman jokingly dubbed it, the ‘Accelerate-Tour.’ The set included saccharine love songs from their latest release alongside dance-heavy classics like "Dancing On Quicksand” from their debut album. At one point, Bowman invited everyone to play “Communicating” on their phones in unison, a moment of playful chaos that didn’t go as planned. Despite the off-tempo phone mishandling, you couldn’t help but be impressed by the band's ability to connect with a sea of people.
