THE FILLMORE | CHARLOTTE, NC | APRIL 19TH, 2024 | BY ISAIAH PATE
The Driver Era brought their electrifying performance to The Fillmore in Charlotte, North
Carolina, delivering a night of lust, addictive vocals and dance moves, and crazy fun
energy. As the lights dimmed and the crowd erupted into cheers, Ross and Rocky Lynch took
the stage, kicking off the show with “A Kiss” and “Natural”. The energy in the venue was
palpable, with fans singing along and losing themselves to every beat.
The Driver Era displayed their natural born talents by blending elements of pop, rock,
and R&B music into an extremely unique sound and performance. Songs like ‘Heaven
Angel’ and “Scared of Heights” had the audience levitating and grooving, while slower
tracks like “San Francisco” and “Low” showcased the duo's emotive vocals and hooked
the venue's ears and hearts.
The full band tied to The Driver Era while on tour are tight and well-rehearsed, elevating
the show to higher heights not many can do. Especially when half of them are blood
relatives, the love and friendship is poured out in full on stage.
TDE’s performance at The Fillmore is now a core memory. Their infectious energy,
musical talent, and genuine connection with the audience and each other made for a
sweaty, raw, and blissful night..It's clear that The Driver Era are playing by their own
rules and are in a completely different universe when they take the stage.
