AUSTIN, TX | STUBB’S | OCTOBER 11, 2025 | BY KYLIE BLY-GARCIA
English indie rock band Wet Leg sold out their ACL Fest Nights show on Oct. 11 during their North American Moisturizer Tour.. With the help of British band Mary in the Junkyard, both bands brought fans of all ages who were packed in the crowd like sardines, filling the entire venue. Mary in the Junkyard brought their signature sound of “angry weepy chaos rock,” as self-coined in their instagram biography @maryinthejunkyrd. The three-piece molds a beautiful concoction of dreamy vocals with a chaotic and spontaneous rhythm section, performing songs that lyrically and melodically take you to a beautiful dream-like space. As we all woke up from our shared dream, the stage was filled with smoke, bubbles, bright lights —Wet Leg took the stage, irresistibly captivating the audience with flashing strobe lights, punching vocals and ear-piercing guitar. Performing songs from their latest album Moisturizer and their 2022 self-titled album, every second demanded the crowd to dance and sing along, and Austin did not disappoint. Wet Leg even got the crowd to participate in achieving the world’s “longest and loudest scream,” during “Ur Mum,” filling Stubb’s with life. The night was filled with smiles, dancing, and f****ing FUN.
