GALLERY: Wolf Alice Returns to Emo’s Austin

AUSTIN TX @ EMO’S | SEPTEMBER 30, 2025 | BY ELINA CARRASCO

Wolf Alice’s long-awaited return to Austin drew a sold-out crowd to Emo’s on a Tuesday night. Fresh off the release of their fourth album, the band pushed beyond the cinematic scope of Blue Weekend, delivering a performance that felt both raw and expansive. Dressed in fringe and shimmering blue glitter, lead singer Ellie Rowsell opened with “Thorns,” the first track from The Clearing. The set swayed between tear-jerking introspection on songs like “Play It Out” and full-throttle catharsis with tracks like “Yuk Foo” and “Giant Peach.” A night of headbanging drew to a close too soon as the band danced along with the crowd to fan favorite “Don’t Delete The Kisses.”
