GALLERY: Ghostland Observatory’s Halloween Show
BUDA, TX | BUCK’S BACKYARD | OCTOBER 31, 2025 | BY JENNIFER GREENE
Ghostland Observatory returned to Buck's Backyard outdoor stage for another fog and laser-filled Halloween dance celebration. The Austin-based Duo of Aaron Behrens and Thomas Turner, who debuted their first album 20 years ago, don't perform as often as the Austin fans would like, but that is what makes the annual Halloween show special. The crowd wore elaborate, top-tier costumes, while the duo wore their iconic stage looks: Aaron in long braids and sunglasses, and Thomas in his Dracula-inspired cape. The show culminated with the crowd favorite "Sad Sad City," which had participants dancing on picnic tables amidst the overhead laser beams. Aaron felt the love, offering his take on the show: "It was one of our best Buck’s Backyard shows yet! The vibe was perfect and the cool night air set the perfect atmosphere for all of us to get down and groove to the tunes!"
Ghostland Observatory will play a few more shows in Texas in December, including a free show at Central Machine Works on December 5, as well as shows in Dallas, Houston, and Oklahoma City at the end of the month.
