NASHVILLE, TN | THE PINNACLE | JULY 25, 2025 | BY JILLIAN JOHNSON

Branding is everything when it comes to musical success. Especially now in our digital age, how you look, act online, what you wear, who you are as a person is more important than ever. But building a musical brand is more than just a face, it's building a concept. Like many other people, I have known about the Los Angeles based bandLord Huron since their conception in 2010. On the other hand, last Saturday night at Nashville's newest venue, The Pinnacle, I physically saw them for the first time. The band has created a sound bigger than themselves—they don’t require you to know them to know who they are. Drawing inspiration from love, heartbreak, and most importantly, the big beautiful world around us. They prove to the world that it can still just be about the music.

Lord Huron’s sounds have been heard worldwide,  from their charting albums like Strange Trails to their hit songs like “The Night We Met” heard on popular TV shows. Recently, the band released a brand new album titled The Cosmic Selector Vol 1. which opened up a whole new world of sound. Each of their songs bring an eerie feeling, prompting the crowd to reflect on themes regarding the wonder of nature we experience every day. Their set mimicked a mossy mountain putting the band right into the world they created. The show included a visual telling of their album through the movement of two dancers personifying the sound and story they created. Each element was expertly constructed to manufacture a world specially for their listeners.

Lord Huron is currently on their tour around the United States promoting their new album. Playing a combination of their classic hits and new found sound, this tour is definitely not one to miss this summer!

KEEP UP WITH LORD HURON
