GALLERY: Nick Mulvey Dark Harvest World Tour

SAN FRANCISCO  | AUGUST HALL  | NOVEMBER 18, 2025 | BY JENNIFER GREENE
London musician Nick Mulvey brought his Dark Harvest World Tour to San Francisco's August Hall, with support from songwriter Frances Whitney, for two dreamy, intimate solo sets.

As an Austin-based photographer, flying to San Francisco to shoot a show may seem like a bit much- but the Dark Harvest Tour was not coming to the Southwest. Having been a fan since his 2014 album First Mind, there was no hesitation in jumping on a plane to see a favorite artist in one of my favorite cities.

The audience filled the floor and lined the wraparound balcony at August Hall to hear two singer-songwriters share deeply personal stories of being humans in the world. The night opened with the San Francisco-born, rising indie singer-songwriter Frances Whitney. Nick Mulvey took the stage, just him and his guitars, and shared his personal journey with figuring out his place in the world. Playing a mix of old and new songs, the audience witnessed his 11-year journey from exploring his "ceaseless longing of yearning to belong" with others, to finding his place with something higher. The show ended with a chill-inducing audience singalong to the encore songs "Begin Again" and "Fever to the Form."

KEEP UP WITH NICK MULVEY
